1897-S Morgan Silver Dollar — MS65 — Exceptional Gem BU Estate Album Coin
Offered here is an outstanding 1897-S Morgan Silver Dollar, a considerably better San Francisco issue in the Morgan series when found at the Gem Mint State level.
This coin was acquired through an estate sale and came from a long-term storage album, where it had been housed for an extended period. The toning visible on the coin developed during its years of album storage, giving the piece the attractive, naturally aged appearance shown in the photographs.
This coin has been assigned a grade of MS65 following examination by a certified numismatist and gemologist. The grade is not a third-party certification by PCGS, NGC, CAC, ANACS, or another grading service, and the coin is being sold in the premium removable holder shown in the photographs.
The 1897-S is a significantly more desirable issue than the common-date Morgan dollars frequently encountered in Mint State. At the Gem Mint State level, attractive, well-preserved examples become increasingly desirable to serious Morgan collectors.
