Condition

Antique hardcover in poor, heavily worn condition, sold as-is.

The decorative blue cloth boards show heavy rubbing, scratches, stains, fading, spotting, edge wear and areas of surface loss. Corners are bumped, frayed and worn through.

The original spine covering is almost entirely missing and has been replaced or reinforced with a strip of brown cloth. The replacement cloth is frayed, torn and separating. The front and rear hinges are cracked and weak, and the text block is pulling away from the covers. Some gatherings/pages appear loose or uneven.

Pages show substantial age toning, foxing, spotting, staining and edge wear. Previous-owner names are written inside, and there is a former bookstore stamp on the endpaper. No page-by-page collation has been completed, so completeness cannot be guaranteed.

Despite the binding condition, the photographed pages and illustrations remain generally readable. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition. Photos are considered part of the description.
