This listing is for the large leather bible shown. Measures approx 9"x11" x 3.25" thick.
The original and intricate folk art family genealogy pages are amazing, signed by Kenning on bottom right of the mariages page. Beautiful capital letters, scrollwork, penmanship, etc.
There are only 3 pages of family record as shown.
The Bible is undated, However the marriage records of David S. Witmer, Lebanon Co. and Fianna Baddorf of Lebanon co. married in 1868 by Jonathan Kiester of Annville. So perhaps, this bible is from around that time period. The art is definitely 1800s.
There is the old and new testaments and apocrypha. There are some illustrations as shown. Some foxing. Cover separated inside front hinge.A couple pages detached but included. Appears complete. Some foxing. Scraped and worn leather cover. Other antique wear as expected from a Bible of this size. But the pages are really pretty good for age.
