This listing is for an IEC Mullard Blackburn factory I63 B5D2 code 1965 12AX7/ECC83 preamp vacuum tube.
This tube has been audio tested. This is a very low noise and low microphonic guitar amplifier preamp tube.
I tested this Tube in a Marshall JCM 600 in the V1 Spot and it is very articulate and has a full presence of bass, mid and treble.
I use this Tube for maybe five or 10 minutes when Audio testing it, and as I said, it sounds excellent
The tube has components comprised of grey 15mm ladder plates, and a halo getter, and the tube’s envelope is seemed too glass
The Tube is free of any leaks, shorts, or quality/grid emissions issues.
The tube was tested on a mercury model 1000 hundred volt tester that was calibrated two months ago.
This Tube has an average new Old stock rating of 1000 µ℧ plus or minus 20% according to the booklet, but I keep my calibration fairly tight so I usually use a 10% metric and this tube is testing right on the below that 10% mark because one of the lines is testing at 875 µ℧ and the other is testing at 825 µ℧.
This tube is very low noise has great break up for guitar amplifiers, and it is naturally a high gain tube
