• Which panels is the BRNSURGE compatible with?
  It is designed for Eaton Type BR loadcenters on a 120/240V single-phase (split-phase) system. Because it uses a pigtail neutral lead, it can be used in legacy BR panels and plug-on neutral (PON) BR panels, since PON neutral bars still accept a wire termination. It does not fit Type CH loadcenters.
• What is the difference between BRNSURGE and BRPSURGE?
  The BRNSURGE is the pigtail neutral version with a 600 V VPR; the BRPSURGE is the plug-on neutral (PON) version with a 500 V VPR. All other ratings — 18 kA per phase, 3 kA In, 10 kA SCCR, Type 2 — are identical.
• How is it installed and how do I know it is working?
  With power off, the module plugs onto the panel bus in a two-pole position, and the white lead is cut to length and landed on the neutral bar. Once power is restored, the LED lights to indicate the surge protective device is operational; if the LED goes out, protection has been lost and the module must be replaced. All electrical work should be performed by a qualified electrical contractor.
