This is a Very Good Copy of this rare title rebound in dark blue cloth boards with gilt title to spine and with new clean endpapers.The Admiral Aplin was captured by the French after August 22nd in 1803.These letters were excellent material for the French Public to digest showing English Panic and despondency at the probability of invasion.Text in both French and English.Material of the letters include East India Co,Finance,concern of Napoleon\'s invasion of England,lack of Military organisation at home,taxation,political concerns and criticism and the Moniteur Newspaper (napoloen editor) Rough cut or deckled page edges a few leaves uncut along the top,title page has one small faded former owner\'s name present.Binding is firm with NO loose leaves etc.Contents remain clean,8vo 1804 First Edition
