1. Remove filter from furnace
2. Vacuum off any heavy debris
3. Optionally you can spray on a mild detergent such as mixture of dish detergent and water, or a cleaner such as simple green. ( do not use any ammonia based products).
4. Wash in the opposite direction for airflow, with a gentle stream of water. ( do not use a pressure washer)
5. Allow to drip / air dry and reinstall.
