This sale is for a new can motor flywheel upgrade kit for the HO scale Mantua 2-6-6-2 or 2-6-6-2T articulated steam locomotive. This motor kit will provide smooth slow speed operation, and operating noise will be reduced as well. This kit is designed to replace the old Pittman style open frame motor. This motor kit WILL NOT work in later version locomotives that have the new Mantua Power Drive can motor system or newer locomotives that are made in China. Make sure your locomotive has the older Pittman style open frame motor and USA made before purchasing this kit.

The motor measures 25mm long x 20mm high x 15mm wide, the motor shaft is 8mm long and 2mm in diameter. This is a high torque motor. The flywheel is 16mm in diameter and is13mm long. The output shaft of the flywheel is19mm long and 2mm in diameter.At 12 volts DC with no load, this motor draws 50ma and develops 9550 rpm, the stall current is 800ma. This motor is DCC compatible. This motor will start turning smoothly on 1 Volt DC and it is very quiet when operating.

The kit consists of one flat can motor with flywheel, flexible coupling, flywheel shaft, hookup wire, and illustrated installation instructions. The first photo shows what the motor kit would look like installed on a Mantua 2-6-6-2T chassis. The 2nd photo shows the contents of the motor kit. What you see in the 2nd photo is what you will receive.PLEASE NOTE!The chassis shownin the photo ISNOT included with the motor kit. This is an easy kit to install, installation time is about 2 hours. This is an unassembled kit.
