A Near Fine Modern Binding in Full Brown Calf with dark brown moroccan title label to the second compartment along spine lettered in gilt.There are four raised bands with gilt decoration to the top and bottom compartment to spine.The book has a gilt crest of Clifton College Bristol to the front cover.It\'s a prize binding with Clifton College Prize plate affixed to the front pastedown.All page edges are marbled and with vibrant red and blue marbled endpapers present and with blind stamped turn ins to the book.Portrait frontispiece of Lord Raglan with protective tissue guard.The binding is very tight with NO loose pages etc.The contents remain lovely and clean internally.Illustrated with 9 plates including a plan of Sebastopol,map of part of The Crimea,Plan of Battle for Inkerman,Plan of Battle for Alma and a portrait picture of Emperor Nicholas.Excellent copy for the collector which was acquired from an impressive Military collection garnered over 60 years,8vo (vi) 312pp Seventh Edition [1896] Free Sent Within The UK...Overseas Postage All Orders are Shipped in a Box and sent with Tracking We are PBFA Members and Adhere to Their Rules
