They are also great setters and will readily hatch and raise their own offspring. My line originated from David Roger’s who I bought eggs from breeders out of California who still sell line they received from Roger’s. I Bought in 2018 and have strived to keep improving as I go every year.
The Onagadori (Japanese: 尾長鶏, "long-tailed chicken") is a historic Japanese breed of chicken, characterised by an exceptionally long tail. It was bred in the seventeenth century in Kōchi Prefecture, on Shikoku island in southern Japan, and was designated a Japanese National Natural Treasure in 1952. It is one of the ancestors of the German Phoenix breed.
The eggs are individually wrapped with either paper towel or toilet paper to secure in egg carton and egg carton bubble wrapped and is put into priority box and secured with cushion bottom, top and sides. Once out of my hands have no control how handled by post office but will be packaged the best to insure stable and protected.
