This gorgeous bodice has all the classic Victorian bells and whistles, and a spectacular peek-a-boo lining. Lace, silk , tulle, and charming bows are the key ingredients of this antique fashion confection. Fair to good overall condition and wearable with care. Exterior has few flaws: some loose threads and two small holes in lace at neck (please see 13th photograph). Top has the usual extensive network of hook and eye and hook and loop closures, all seem intact. The lining has minor age discoloration and fairly significant shattering, with the top part of the chest torn (best viewed in 14th and 15th photographs). Black silk chiffon interior overlay. Bodice is boned. Inner band is 33 inches in entirety, with hook and eye closures at 29 and 33 inches. Shoulder to shoulder measures 16 inches, chest is 35 inches, waist is 33 inches, and shoulder to hem is 18 inches at its longest point.
