This Victorian black and white gingham bodice is absolutely adorable! Black and white plaid silk gives way to a beautiful blousy black pleated chest and is encrusted with dainty jet beads at trim. Good overall condition consistent with age. A few scattered stains, including a few on black silk at chest. Some shattering of silk and small holes (examples: photographs 10 through 13). Beading is in very good condition with no evidence of missing beads. Bodice is fastens with inner and outer hook and eye closures. Cotton interior lining is clean and in very good condition with corset stays sewn in. Silk has little stretch. Small size. Shoulder to shoulder measures approximately 15 inches, chest is 30 inches, and waist is 28 inches. Shoulder to hem is 15 inches. Sleeves are 23 inches long.
